Questions to Ask Yourself:

Is my pet still finding joy in anything - food, touch, play, being outside?
Have they stopped eating or drinking, or are they only doing so because I’m encouraging them?
Do they seem uncomfortable most of the time, even when resting?
Are they still moving around freely, or are they struggling to stand, walk, or reach their bed or litter box?
Have their behaviours changed - hiding, vocalising, snapping, or withdrawing from touch?
Are there more bad days than good ones lately?
Do they seem confused, stuck, or distressed - especially at night?
Am I keeping them going for them, or for me?

If my pet were another person’s dog or cat, what advice would I give them?

So often, we offer others more kindness than we give ourselves.
