Angel Wings was founded to change how pet euthanasia is approached. Traditional veterinary practices often involve clinical, stressful environments that can make a pet’s last moments unsettling. We asked ourselves: "why should a pet’s final moments be spent in an unfamiliar, clinical setting?"
There had to be a kinder, more peaceful option for both pets and their families. That’s why we offer in-home pet euthanasia.
By providing this compassionate service in the comfort of your pet's own home, we ensure they can pass peacefully, surrounded by the love and comfort of their family, without the stress of a trip to the vet.
At home, your pet isn’t frightened by unfamiliar smells, voices, or bright lights. They stay where they feel safe - in their favourite bed, beside you, with the sounds and smells they know best. There’s no waiting room, no stress, no need to carry or lift them. Just calm, comfort, and time to be present. Many pets fall asleep with their

There’s no waiting room, no stress, no need to carry or lift them. Just calm, comfort, and time to be present. Many pets fall asleep with their head in your lap, or while listening to your voice. Their breathing slows. Their tail relaxes. There’s no panic, no fear - just peace.
Every pet is different. But here’s how the goodbye usually unfolds, gently and calmly.

3️⃣ Goodbye
Once they’re deeply asleep, Ali will give the second injection - a gentle anaesthetic overdose. Your pet will pass peacefully, often without even noticing.
4️⃣ Afterlife care
You’ll have time to say your final goodbye. Ali can help with paw prints, a lock of fur, or quiet silence. If you’ve chosen cremation, she’ll take your pet gently with her.

Some owners stroke their ears. Others sing, or just breathe beside them. After the final injection, breathing slows… then stops… then the heart follows. Their eyes may stay open. There may be a soft sigh or reflex. These are normal. There is no pain. And then - peace.
Some decisions in life are clear.
This isn’t one of them.
Most families don’t wake up knowing today is the day. They hesitate. They go back and forth. They worry they’ll do it too soon - or wait too long. That’s normal.
There’s no single sign, no perfect moment.
But there are gentle indicators that your pet may be reaching the end of their journey.
This checklist isn’t here to push you.
It’s here to help you pause and reflect - with honesty and love.
Emotionally:
It’s okay to feel uncertain. Or guilty. Or numb. Or completely undone. Some people cry. Others feel relief. Many feel both.
There’s no “correct” way to show love in this moment. You don’t have to be strong. You only have to be present.
Practically:
Choose a quiet space - a favourite bed, sunny spot, or even the garden.
Try to keep other pets nearby (or gently apart, if that’s easier).
Have a soft blanket or towel ready.
Light music, a candle, or their favourite toy can help.
If children are present, Ali will guide them gently and answer questions. Don’t worry about the mess or the emotion. You don’t need to tidy. You don’t need to host the vet. This is your moment.
You can call Ali just to talk. She’ll listen, ask gentle questions, and help you decide - without pressure. There’s no obligation to book.
Yes, absolutely. Many pets sense what’s happening and appreciate being near. Ali will help guide the moment, gently and calmly.
Ali will move slowly, avoid direct eye contact, and let them take the lead. Most pets relax when they see she's quiet and kind.
Yes. You’re welcome to shape the space however you wish. It’s your goodbye.
Yes. Some families hold them right to the end. Others prefer to be close by. There’s no right or wrong.
Then we pause. Or postpone. Or don’t go ahead at all. It’s your decision. Ali will support you, whatever you choose.
This isn’t about the procedure.
It’s about presence.
Angel Wings exists because I believe every pet deserves a gentle,
unhurried goodbye - one shaped by love, not by time pressure or routine.
I’ve seen too many rushed farewells.
Too many scared pets.
Too many families left with guilt instead of peace.
That’s why I do things differently.
This is not "just another vet visit."
This is the moment your pet needs you most. And I will help you through it - softly, kindly, and with time.
